Keypad matrix is a grid of buttons such that buttons are interconnected in row and column. Pressing a button on the keypad sends a signal to the connected device. This signal is what informs the device that you’ve pressed a button. The device then performs an operation, such as writing a letter on a screen or solving a math problem.
